cool. oh and for the Super Mode you should just inverse/negative the screen, so all the colors are the opposite. and he doesn't take damage and his laser do double damage.

hey there is a game making competition the big prize is...1000$ second prize is 500$ third prize is 250$.competition will run until january 4th 2009.to enter the competition your game must be about saving the planet .maybe we can make our silverzard game about saving the planet.if our game wins,we will share that money(i will share it to only the ones who helped)

OH i know we can make the bad guy an evil intergalactic Gravity giant, who is going throughout the universe Killing anything else that can alter gravity. at the end he will try to crush the planet with gravity something, but silverzard will own him.

gravity giant is a good idea.maybe we can make an item that has gravity power.and that bad guy wants those items.if he collects enough of those items he will destroy the world!if we continue with my story

continue of the story
argint wakes up and goes to that old zard.old zard:"hello argint are you ready for your training".argint:"yes im".old zard:"but i have to tell you something.follow me"argint follows that old zard.they go to a cave.old zard makes a spell and a screen appears(we will need a move or cutscene here)and that screen shows there are <number> <items name>s.if someone collects all <number> <items name> he/she will have power to destroy the world.(screen dissapears).old zard:"someone called <evil guys name>wants to destroy the world.and now he's trying to collect them.and only you can stop him.".argint:what about my training.".old zard:"dont worry we still have time."...

the score thing is easy, just put in some coins that are scattered throughout the level,throw in some kindof of timer too, gamers just eat that stuff up. OH! and it would be cool if when the player collects 3/4 of the coins in a level at the end of the level they play a minigame, and if they win they get one of the items that the giant is looking for. You know what, Make the coins like rings in the sonic games, and once all of the uuhhh Voltiac Matrix's (is that a good name?) have been earned he can go into that super mode by double jumping with 50 coins. and the coins drop one every second and when he has zero coins.
How about we change the giant to a deamon and call him Nimbus?

good idea omndra.my little bro will like it because he's a sonic fan(i was a sonic fan too).and i know how that super mode works.i played lots of sonic games in pc and ps2.when sonic is in super mode he turns into yellow and he flies.do you want me make super mode like that?
i will hide some secret items in levels and in the end of the game or last boss if he has collected all of the secret items he will go to a secret boss fight.and if the player wins.the game shows a code.if we make a silverzard2 game,when game starts if you enter code you will have bonus 1000000 rings.

you know.... it doesn't really even have to HAVE a story line other than the deamond Nimbus trying to destroy the world with the Voltaic Matrix's, and Silver zard Trying to stop him. This is a video game not a movie. OOH! another idea! lets give him a kirby ability too! he can eat certain bad guys and they give him a differnt power, can only have one power at a time. but he always has the gravity ability, maybe.

How about this.

Level 1- The Forest
Silver Zard goes through a forest theme'd level and the boss is a Canadian bear that can shoot lazers out of his eyes. Silver Zard sees Nimbus useing the Voltaic Matrix's to start desroying the planet. SilverZard Hits them and they scatter everywhere. Nimbus says that he must burn this planet so that it can be reborn as a Homeworld for Deamons, and no one can stop him. Waves his hand and SilverZard goes flying.

will finish this if anyone wants me too.

sfx list
1.shorter lazer beam sound (like 1 seconds)
2.biting sfx or crunch sfx
3.gravity silence sfx(czzzzzzjwww<silence>)

and now i understand why ideling sprite looks weird,it isnt because of you.if i use the fourth sprite longer he will look like breathing

hey maybe at the end of each level he could trade in his rings for armor, or to train skills?
i will gladly desgin the armor and send u scetchs on how it looks, then u can program it into the game.
i would also draw some bad guys for u if u need any help? (oh and do the bad guys have to be zards or could they be monsters, like a human, or orc?
maybe a zards chance to get revenge on all the adventurers that have killed there people over the years?

The zard should evolve skills by turning in the items he collects throughout each level for abilities, upgrades, etc.

Here are some possibilities:

Sharper Teeth
Stronger Bite
Sharper Claws
Faster Legs
Higher Jump
More Health
Wider Laser
Multi-Laser
Faster Laser
Long Range Laser
More Laser Damage

or you could spend those points on special abilities:

Gravity Well
Repulse
Absorb
Disentegrate
Irradiate
Etc, etc.

Just general abilities that the zard can gather over time.

Have bonus stages for gathering a lot of points on some levels.

laken;we dont know how enemies will look like,if someone has an idea about enemies,post here.
maybe we can make other zards.and our zard can want help from them.
laken;you can make:fire breath,ice breath,light breath,darkness breath,wind breath,earth breath,water breath and energy breath sprites (32x8 pixels and animated please)

OOH i know of some baddies that are needed. We need like 4-5 forest themed baddies, like wolfs and stuff, with idel walking and attacking animations.

ok laken i will send an example to you
for forest levels we need wolfs,maybe mushrooms in df or little trees,and uhmm... birds or bats,maybe a frogzard,bears,bugs
laken if you want to make these enemies;draw them with paint (animated please) and save as png or bmp(32x32 pixels for enemies)

omndra do you remember zardmen's breathing attack on aqw,i can make something like that in 10 mins with gamemaker (3 sprites+ animation with 8 sprites for 3 of the sprites[3x8=24 sprites]+programming=10 mins)!!!!thats really fast (i just wanted to say.)

oh and we still have 78 days to enter to competition and if we cant finish it in time we can still send it to AE team to put on ebilgames

if its goin to be a game then make the advancement or prizes changeable. upgrades abillities can be swapped if u can.
the prizes should be there when u break a chest like container or boss.
some temp abillities might come in useful although this would in effect give it an rpg format aswell as action.

what about this:i will make special secret coins and hide them in levels,when our zard gets them his abilities outamatically upgrade.And İ will draw these coins MYSELF ok?
i will make coins like exp.when he collects enough coins he will gain a new ability(or upgrade any ability)

Make those bigger coins lead into a special stage where you can get something like a chaos emerald and when you get them all you can activate super mode, In the final version.
